Free cookie checker: does your banner really block trackers?

A real browser visits your page before any choice, after a refusal and after an acceptance. You get a report with the evidence and three actions to take.

Test from:

Home page · about 1 minute · only the domain is kept · report available through its private link. See the method.

What the test checks

  1. Before any choice: which cookies and tracking requests fire as soon as the visitor arrives.
  2. After “Refuse”: is the refusal really respected?
  3. After “Accept”: what fires once consent is given?

What the report contains

  • the cookies found at each step, grouped by category (analytics, advertising, technical…);
  • requests sent to tracking services (Google, Meta, TikTok, Hotjar…);
  • the state of Google Consent Mode at the three moments;
  • the buttons the banner offers, with screenshots;
  • three actions to take first.

Its limits

The test visits the home page from France or the United States, without logging in. It describes what was observed at a given moment: it is not legal advice, and it never says a site is “compliant”. The method details what is measured.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check a cookie banner?

Enter your site address above. A browser visits it three times (before any choice, after a refusal, after an acceptance) and you get a report in about a minute.

Is the cookie checker free? Do I need an account?

It is free and needs no account. Only the domain name is kept, and the report stays available through its private link for 30 days.

What does this cookie scanner look for?

The cookies set, requests sent to tracking services, Google Consent Mode signals and the banner’s buttons. Each common cookie has a page in our cookie dictionary.

Does the report say whether my site is compliant?

No. It describes what is “observed” or “not observed”. Compliance depends on your whole site and your legal situation.

What if the test finds a problem?

The report gives three priority actions. Our step-by-step guides cover the common cases: Google Analytics 4, Consent Mode v2 and WordPress.
